You might be sleeping less, eating things on the go (and not always the healthiest). Well have no fear! We are here to help you get back on track with a few tips and tricks to keeping up on your health and saving you time.
1) Eat Healthy
We understand this is easier said than done. Life gets in the way and those golden arches are just so much easier to swing by grab some fries, a burger and man oh man...one of those McFlurries (Heaven is a series of those creamy, sugary treats. But resist the urge.
Try and beat the weekly rush by taking one day to meal prep. Preparing dinner and/or lunches at the beginning of every week can provide a crucial time savings for those times when you want to grab something and go, or don’t have the time to dedicate to making a meal from scratch. We know the struggle and this has provided us crucial time savings for us. Check out some of the following meal prep ideas to optimize your week!
The old adage, “you can sleep when you’re dead” is especially true in direct sales. Our jobs are demanding but owning and running your own business in addition to the countless other duties we have on our schedule makes sleep a thing of luxury. Well….it can’t be. Getting a good night’s sleep, at least six to eight hours, is crucial to good health and something that needs to become a priority. How have we managed to do it? In all honesty, we haven’t…….I mean we are four months into this thing.
We constantly strive to catch a few more zzz’s. My dream vacation: a serta mattress in the dark room, and wine and the entire box set of Sex In the City.
3) Schedule exercise time
Next on the docket: Exercise. We are building something great and I want to ensure that I am around to see my kids and all the brand ambassadors kids benefit from this. This requires that we get in the gym and exercise at least 3-4 times a week, for at least 30 minutes. We have found that this is a great way to start the day and energize us so we highly, highly encourage this this step.
4) Eliminate bad foods
This kind of goes with the point above about eating healthy but when we say eliminate….I mean eliminate. Just get it out of the house. It’s really tempting when you are up after a day of talking about Red Aspen and talking to other Brand Ambassadors
5) Drink water
Coffee, coffee, coffee followed by more and more coffee.
Contrary to what we would like to believe is true, one cannot survive on coffee which is why we have made a dedicated effort to drink more water. Our body is 70% water. Without water, your body will take water from your bones and organs.
6) Annual Check ups
Lastly, make sure that you are checking your health regularly. Be sure to check on your progress on at least an annual basis in the form of a yearly physical checkup. Be actively involved in your long term health.
