Purple brings to mind the mysterious night skies and how exciting new discoveries can be. Possibilities are limitless thanks to the powerful hue of this vibrant color! Purple has long been a symbol of artistic brilliance thanks to musical icons like Prince and David Bowie, who frequently used purple in their outfits and album designs. Another culturally significant use of the color purple is seen in the Purple Heart award, given only to men and women who have been wounded or killed during their time of service in the military. These men and women showed extraordinary courage, leading purple to be known as a color of honor, strength, and sacrifice.

Utra Violet was even named Pantone’s official 2018 Color of Year! It seemed fitting to pay homage to the trend of purple for our very first Color Story as we embark on a new journey.
