Stephanie on Safari
“Start by doing what’s necessary, then what’s possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.”
This quotes illustrates Stephanie’s core belief that anything is possible. In her personal and professional life she routinely challenges herself and others to respectfully contest the status quo and to disrupt what exists today to deliver the best outcomes, tomorrow and beyond, for the lives we touch and the communities we serve.
We are proud to name our Red Aspen product, the Stephanie on Safari Nail Dash, after this rock star of a woman!
Over the past 22 years, Stephanie has been making a remarkable impact in the health and well-being of others. In 1996, she enlisted in the United States Air Force Reserves as a medical technician. Stephanie has over 20 years in the Air Force Medical Service. It was through basic military training and technical school that she found alignment with the Air Force core value “service before self.” Over the next 10 years, she graduated with both Nursing and Business degrees and eventually earned her Master’s Degree in Business Administration. Now, a Lieutenant Colonel assigned to the Air Mobility Command, she has the privilege to assist service members and civilians alike through the Air Force Medical Service en-route care system. She is responsible for training and equipping clinicians to successfully move patients with battlefield injuries, as well as those affected by hurricanes, volcanoes, and infectious diseases.
When she is not humbly wearing her uniform, she serves as a healthcare administrator and is the Chief Performance Improvement Officer of the Saint Francis Healthcare System. Among her civilian accomplishments, she is most excited about the implementation of the #JoyChallenge. #JoyChallenge is a community service project sponsored by her Healthcare System to extend the Saint Francis “Fransician ministry”. This project was developed to connect her healthcare ministry in a meaningful way by helping the under served in the community. In just over a year, the #JoyChallenge has touched the lives of many in her community. Stephanie and her team have prepared and delivered meals to under-served children and their families, collected toys and donations for children to have on Christmas day, found homes for homeless patients, donated first-aid supplies to Camp Hope (a non-profit that serves veterans), collected donations for the local humane society, as well as provided mobile cancer screening services to rural Missouri. After many screenings, one individual ended up having a positive screen, pursued treatment, and is now cancer-free today! Stephanie has received numerous volunteer awards and recognition for the impact she has made, and continues to make in her community.
Stephanie is a tremendous example of the mission we have here at Red Aspen, as she truly unites her passion with her purpose. She has created a meaningful life for herself and touches the lives of all those whom she serves. She is a fearless leader and mentor, and aims to empower everyone to achieve greatness! We are honored to be naming our product after such a strong and well-deserving woman!
